After sealing with Impregnator Pro, I see my foot prints and dirt sticking to the stone floors, even though I waited for it to dry. Why is this happening and what can I do to resolve?
Thank for choosing Impregnator Pro as your sealer. I would like to start off by letting you know the foot print marks in your stone are caused by a residue that was left by the Impregnator Pro. Some excess sealer has dried on the surface of the stone therefore creating this residue. If the residue is less than 24 hours old you could apply more Impregnator Pro, let dwell for approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Agitate with a nylon brush and wipe clean with a terry cloth towel. When wiping clean make sure to alternate towels to avoid putting the sealer you just picked up back down and creating more residue problems. You should now be at your desired look but if there are remaining residues present repeat the process until completely gone. If the residue has been on for 24-72 hours use odorless mineral spirits following the same procedure listed above. If the residue is more than 72 hours you will need to use either paint thinner or lacquer thinner following the procedure above.

How can I clean mildew off of my grout in my shower? Is there any preventative care?
We do have a cleaner called StoneTech Professional KlenzAll that will help clean your grout and some of the removal of the mildew.
If there are any remain mildew growth you can get a 50/50 solution of water and household bleach and clean those areas. Make sure that you rinse the area with clean water thoroughly before continuing to seal.
Once this has been done, you need to wait about an hour and seal with our water-based sealer, Heavy Duty Sealer.

How do I clean my just installed, sealed stone counter tops?
Our suggestion for your ongoing care would be to use our Revitalizer Daily Use Cleaner with Protector. Not only is this an excellent cleaner for removing everyday soils and spills, but every time that you clean you're reinforcing the protection of the

I put something down on my polished white marble table and it left a white ring mark on it. How can I clean this spot?
This kind of discoloration and ring mark that you are noticing are likely not stains but actual etch marks. Etch marks occur on polished marble and other stones of this nature due to acids or other chemicals reacting with the minerals in the stone. This causes the stone to feel rough and look a little discolored, usually lighter. In order to remove these there would have to be a refinishing process done to restore its original, polished look.
Fortunately, we do make several products that will help refinish the stone. Specifically about Polished Marble:
Mechanical Refinishing of Polished Marble
For scratch, etch and wear pattern removal and to restore the surface to an even finish. Depending on the severity of the damage to the stone and/or the desired surface appearance, choose one or more of the grit levels of the StoneTech Professional™ Euro Hone™ Marble Honing Powders 180/280/400/600/800, StoneTech Professional™ Euro Polish™ and/or StoneTech Professional™ Euro Shine™ as appropriate. (Note: should you require some or all of the above mentioned products please contact us directly: We may be adding these products to our online store based on popularity)
For refinishing to a honed finish:
- Sweep or vacuum all dust, dirt and debris.
- Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated.
- Strip off all topical finishes such as waxes and coatings.
- Liberally apply Euro Hone™ powder to the stone surface.
- Add water to form a milk-like consistency.
- Refinish using a hand orbital sander or weighted floor machine at 130 lbs.-140 lbs., 175 rpm, fitted with a natural hair pad.
- Keep compound wet with plenty of water while refinishing. Add Euro Hone™ as needed.
- Refinish area until the desired level of hone has been achieved.
- Rinse well and use a wet vacuum to remove all excess compound.
- Clean equipment with water.
For refinishing to a polish:
Use successively higher grits of Euro Hone™ to close the face of the stone. Follow with Euro Polish™ as applicable.

Outdoors can very harsh on your stone. There are things that can affect your stone that are visible like pollen and dirt and then there are things that are not quite that easy to see like UV Rays. There’s a hazy, grout looking residue smeared all over my just installed ceramic tile floors? Can this be fixed?
The haziness that you see is probably grout smear from the installation process. This can be safely removed using our Restore Restoration Cleaner for Ceramic Tile and Grout.
Make sure you protect all walls, baseboards, carpeted areas, plants, foliage and metals. Restore™ may damage stainless steel and other surfaces. Sweep or dust mop loose dirt and debris off of the floor. Prepare a solution of 1 part of Restore™ mixed with 4 parts of warm or hot water. Liberally apply over your floor using a sponge or mop. Agitate well using a stiff nylon bristle scrub brush or stiff bristle push broom. Rinse well with clean water and mop, sponge or wet vacuum to remove the remaining solution. Repeat the rinsing and wet vacuum process to insure that all dirt, soil and cleaner residue have been removed. Thoroughly rinse all metal surfaces.
I would strongly recommend sealing the floor once you’ve remove the grout haze to protect it from staining and soiling. Use our Grout Sealer for protection against oil and water-based stains.

What type of sealers protect against stains on outdoor stone and can withstand constant sun?
If your stone is going to be under the UV Rays or dealing with different weather conditions, I would use the Heavy Duty Exterior Stone & Masonry Sealer, which has excellent water repellency. If there will be an area that needs more oil repellency in addition to water repellency, you could wait 24 hours after your first coat of Heavy Duty Exterior Stone & Masonry Sealer and apply one coat of Heavy Duty Stone Sealer or Impregnator Pro. |
